Founded by Roger Lamb in 1971, Lamb Components, Inc. has become the acknowledged leader in designing and manufacturing drag racing front suspension components, brake systems, shocks, and related products. Grumpy's Toy XI It was Lamb that introduced the first MacPherson strut-type front suspension for Pro Stock racing applications debuting the breakthrough design with Bill Jenkins' "Grumpy's Toy XI" in 1974. Now, more than four decades later, Lamb Pro Stock struts are used throughout in the NHRA Pro Stock, Pro Mod, and Comp Eliminator categories.
After expanding with their own line of brakes in 1974, Lamb was the first to develop carbon disc brakes for drag racing in 1987. Hailed for their light weight and durability, the Lamb carbon/carbon disc brakes have proven their superiority in performance and possible chute failure.
